Overview
The Little Green Paper Shop’s online store was already well-established and doing well when we joined them, but they were experiencing major issues with conversion tracking within their Google Ads account.
As a result, it was impossible to track the efficiency of their ad campaigns and make educated decisions about them.
They also knew that their ads were generating wholesale enquiries – a valuable side of the business – but they didn’t have the data in front of them to track where these enquiries were coming from.

Objectives
The primary objectives of this project were to address and fix existing issues with Google Ads conversion tracking to ensure accurate performance measurement.
Additionally, we aimed to implement a comprehensive tracking system that would capture wholesale enquiries and attribute revenue generated from these leads.
Finally, once an efficient setup was in place, a our key focus was to optimise the Google Ads campaigns and build Microsoft Ads campaigns that maximise return on investment, ensuring that every pound spent delivered the highest possible value and business growth.
What we did
To achieve the objectives, we first set up a new Google Analytics 4 property to ensure we had a modern and robust analytics framework in place. Then, we created manual conversion events that provided highly accurate data on conversion revenue, allowing for better insights into the performance of each campaign.
We also initiated the collection of data on the source of conversions, including key details such as the campaign, ad group, and specific search terms that led to conversions.
Additionally, we implemented conversion tracking and revenue tracking specifically for wholesale enquiries to capture this important segment.
With the new conversion data in place, we were able to make targeted improvements to existing Google Ads campaigns, refining their performance.
Finally, we created new campaigns on Google and Microsoft with a focus on improving the overall return on investment (ROI) from paid advertising, ensuring a more profitable and efficient advertising strategy.
